أعلنت الشرطة الأميركية أن 11 شخصا على الأقل غرقوا، إثر انقلاب قارب سياحي كانوا على متنه خلال عاصفة هبت على إحدى بحيرات ولاية ميزوري وسط البلاد مساء أمس الخميس.
وأضاف قائد شرطة مقاطعة ستون للصحافيين أن 7 مصابين نقلوا إلى المستشفى، في حين يواصل الغواصون تمشيط مكان الحادث بحثا عن ناجين.
ولا يزال بعض ركاب القارب المنكوب البالغ عددهم 31 شخصا وبينهم عدد من الأطفال في عداد المفقودين.
وذكرت دائرة الإطفاء في المقاطعة على "تويتر" أن طواقم الطوارئ تعاملت مع الحادث بعد السابعة بقليل من مساء الخميس بالتوقيت المحلي بعدما اجتاحت عواصف رعدية المنطقة.
